how we work
From initial consultation to design, build and installation each step of the process is integral to achieving a well co-ordinated project that delivers on all levels.
1: consultation
The initial consultation is to establish the project brief, timelines and budget. Working from architects plans or a preliminary RTF site survey, we discuss furniture style, potential layouts, materials, worktops, appliances and finishes. Sometimes this meeting is conducted in situ to enable us to get a feel for the space being designed.
2: initial design
Based on the ideas and concepts discussed, plans are prepared which fully explore functional needs and best use of space. A detailed quote is then provided and subject to approval a continuation payment is requested.
3: detailed design
The aim of this stage is to produce a final design for client sign off. To achieve this, we generate a 3D model to get a realistic appreciation of the space and furniture within it. The design is then further progressed with internal configurations tailored to client requirements.
4: service drawings & site visit
After the design is signed off, a detailed site survey is carried out using our laser room scanner. Mechanical and electrical service drawings are prepared and supplied. A further site visit is then arranged to discuss the project requirements with the relevant contractors.
5: production
Using our engineering software, the production team then translate all the final drawings into a fully detailed model of the kitchen. This digital twin contains all the manufacturing data that communicates directly with our CNC-machining system in the workshop.
6: manufacture
Once production drawings have been created, the manufacturing process can commence. Depending on complexity, material availability and finishes, a typical project takes 8-10 weeks to complete. In some cases, this process can be shorter.
7: installation
The fitting team are hugely experienced and work to the highest level of accuracy to install cabinetry and appliances. Installation takes between 3-5 weeks, with final elements carried out prior to project completion and hand over.
8: and finally…
